Our love story
Mario and I met in the summer of 2008 performing in "A Chorus Line" on Broadway and we have been inseparable ever since! In January of 2010 we got our first dog, Julio Cesar Chavez Lopez and in September of 2010, we welcomed our beautiful daughter, Gia Francesca Lopez into the world.
Just when I thought our life couldn’t get any more perfect, On New Years 2011, Mario proposed on a private beach in Ixtapa-Zihuatanjo, Mexico. It was our first destination holiday with Gia and we were joined by most of our family and friends. One afternoon, Mario asked me to take a walk on the beach. It was absolutely gorgeous! After he told me how much he loved me and our family he said there was only one thing that he didn't like, that I didn't have his last name. Then he got down on one knee and proposed. I was in complete shock! After I said yes we headed back up to our house and there were balloons and a Mariachi band playing, everyone in my family knew! It was truly magical. That afternoon we danced with Gia and celebrated with our families. It was a vacation that we'll never forget.
Our family has been a blessing, but it's far from finished. Mario and I both knew from the start that we wanted to give Gia a little sister or brother, but after she was born we decided to wait until the timing and circumstances were right. As we prepare to cement our relationship, we look forward to the craziness of planning the wedding, building our brood and making a true life for ourselves.
